Walking - Kilbroney Park

1 2

This area of parkland and forest has children’s play areas, caravan and camping facilities, a restaurant and numerous walks.  You can walk on the flat through the grounds or climb to the Cloughmore Stone, a large boulder reputed to have been thrown by the giant Finn McCool from Carlingford mountain during a battle with his enemy Ruiscaire.  Off course you might want to believe the alternative explanation in that the boulder was left over from the glacial period.
